Basic biological contribution. It is an excellent habitat for useful nitrifying bacteria (including Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter) that purify water from toxic nitrogen compounds - they convert toxic ammonia and nitrogen ions.
Bioring in the form of ceramic, porous rings, has a huge active surface, which creates a complex network of channels and pores. The specific structure and shape ensures a very good water flow, and thus adequate oxygenation and nutrition of the biological deposit. 
The holes inside the tubes ensure free flow of water.

The anaerobic layer inside the filter material supports the growth of denitrifying bacteria, while the oxygen-rich outer layer supports the growth of nitrifying bacteria.
In this way, both layers co-create an excellent microorganic water protection system.

The use of ceramic ring inserts allows to effectively reduce the level of organic contamination, keeping clean and clear water.
It is an ideal base for the growth of a useful bacterial flora. It also stops the suspension in the filter causing water turbidity. 
The use of the cartridge is especially recommended in containers that are broken , where a large amount of metabolic products causes the growth of harmful nitrogen compounds. 

It protects fish against harmful nitrogen substances and allows limiting the size and frequency of water changes.
To maintain biological balance it is recommended to regularly clean the insert in water from the pond or from the aquarium.
It should be placed in the filter, preferably just behind the layer of mechanical inserts (sponges or cotton wool), so that the water coming there is already pre-purified from visible suspensions.

Bioring can be used for external filters, cascades, sumps and filtration systems.
