Large terrarium hideout in the shape of a rock cave. The size of the hide makes it an ideal shelter for large frogs (Cane toad, African bullfrog), medium-sized lizards (Rankin's dragon, Leopard gecko, Red-eyed croodile skink), many common snakes (Corn snake, Milk snake, Ball python) and larger crustaceans (Cardisoma armatum). Minimises stress, facilitates acclimatisation to a new terrarium and prevents environmental stress-induced anorexia. In the case of gregarious species, it provides shelter for weaker and smaller individuals, minimising group tension. The rough surface of the hide helps with claw abrasion and shedding of moult.
