Red Terrarium Sand 5 kg (0.4–0.8 mm) 

Natural, medium-grained sand with a red hue and a fraction of 0.4–0.8 mm. It serves as a high-quality substrate intended for terrariums with desert and drought-resistant species, both reptiles and invertebrates. 

The sand has been carefully washed and cleaned before packaging, eliminating the risk of dust and the presence of organic contaminants. This ensures a safe environment for animals, minimizing the risk of infections and respiratory irritations. 

The natural structure and color of the substrate perfectly replicate the conditions found in a desert environment, stimulating natural behaviors in animals, such as digging, burrowing, and creating hiding spots. The sand can be used as a main substrate or as an addition to coconut and clay substrates to improve their physical and visual properties. 

Application 

Especially recommended for species requiring low humidity in the tank, such as: 

● Invertebrates: e.g. Platymeris spp., Blepharopsis mendica, Tarachodula pantherina 

● Reptiles: e.g. Pogona vitticeps (bearded dragon), Eublepharis macularius (leopard gecko), Paroedura picta, Uromastyx spp., Hemidactylus imbricatus, Spalerosophis diadema, Varanus acanthurus (spiny-tailed monitor)
